Questions & answers
Vetting & verification
How do I get in?
By invitation from an existing member, or by applying and being reviewed. There is no open sign-up.
How are businesses verified?
Staff review submitted documents such as a business licence and proof of Muslim ownership. A logged phone call with a real person and, where it matters, a site visit decide between Verified and Community Verified.
What does a badge actually mean?
That documents were reviewed and checks were made. It is not an endorsement, guarantee or promise about any job — always use your own judgement.
What is a vouch?
A member putting their own name behind yours. Unvouched members are never blocked; a vouch simply adds peer trust to a profile.
The covenant
What is the Membership Covenant?
A short pledge every member signs with their own name: honesty in dealings, fair pricing, keeping promises and following Islamic business ethics.
How is it enforced?
Members can report conduct. Staff review every report and can warn, suspend or remove a member. Every action is recorded in an audit log.
Privacy
Who can see my profile?
Only signed-in members who have completed their profile. Public pages exist only for businesses, so customers can find them.
What is same-gender view mode?
An optional setting that limits what you see to members, businesses and listings of your own gender. Men-only and women-only listings are enforced for everyone.
Do I have to share my phone number?
No. Messaging happens inside Amannah so you can arrange a deal without handing out personal contact details.
Membership fees
Why does Amannah charge?
Fees pay for real verification work — reviewing documents, calling businesses, visiting premises — and keep the network free of advertising and data selling.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Members can join free, with limits on messages and listings. Paid plans lift those limits and lower the commission on sales.
Can I cancel?
Any time, in one click from your billing page.
